Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Drywall Superintendent to oversee drywall operations on ground-up commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing teams, ensuring quality, and delivering projects on time and within budget.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Oversight: Manage all aspects of drywall installation, including framing, hanging, finishing, and inspections, on ground-up commercial projects.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and in-house crews to ensure work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all work meets or exceeds company and client expectations. Conduct regular inspections and address any deficiencies promptly.
  • Schedule Management: Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring drywall phases align with overall construction timelines.
  • Budget Control: Monitor budgets and costs associated with drywall operations, ensuring adherence to project estimates.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols on the job site to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for project managers, clients, and subcontractors regarding drywall-related activities.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Drywall Superintendent, with a focus on ground-up commercial projects.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of drywall systems, materials, and installation techniques.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage teams and subcontractors effectively.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing project needs.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Certifications (Preferred): OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, or other relevant certifications.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or college degree in construction management is a plus.
